The Mobile Photo Game was an introductory game that took place in the framework of the Hocus Photus Network’s activities, during the exhibition SYNCHRON-e-CITIES at TAF The Art Foundation Gallery the 1st June 2025. Participants were guided by Achilles Nasios to take photos in a quick action, from which the material of the final results came from.
Afterwards, George Koutsouvelis introduced them to image editing techniques, so that they gained knowledge of editing the photo directly on the mobile phone.
The aim was to render each one’s experience of this event, photographically.

The Last Game
What distinguishes “The Last Game” from conventional photography exhibitions is primarily the fact that it was shaped in its entirety through a game conceived by Achilles Nasios and developed with the contribution of the participants. From the photographic act to the final presentation, every stage followed the rules of the photographic game, giving each participant the opportunity to experience the entire creative process: to take photographs, develop an idea, bring it to life, and ultimately exhibit it.
The exhibition took place at Trii Art Hub Gallery in Athens (2017), bringing together 32 participants who played five different photographic games, all exploring the same subject. It was not an exhibition by a photography group, but a collective photography exhibition born out of the participatory engagement of people who share a love of art. Curated by Achilles Nasios.
Participants: Aleka Iakovidou, Vasilis Katsaganis, Vasiliki Sandali, Georgia Panakia, Danae Simou, Efi Grimani, Thanasis Karatzas, Thanos Anthopoulos, Themis Goulios, Kalliopi Katsidonioti, Katerina Tsirona, Kleopatra Kourlampa, Kostas Evangelou, Lazaros Vassos, Lida Maha, Maria Dimopoulou, Maria Banouta, Maria Zeri, Nikos Konidaris, Daniel Profitis, Dinos Psychos, Panos Diamantis, Pavlos Satoglou, Penelope Thomaidi, Tzina Maragoudaki, Charis Giannopoulou, Christiana Gravani, Chrysalena Antonopoulou, Akis Christou.

Played in real time during live webinars, bringing together participants from different places.
A selection of the results of the first cycle of the course “Zen and the Art of Photography”, organised by the Hocus Photus Network.
The study is based on games which are played and studied during the weekly meetings of the participants. The games are played simultaneously and all participants follow exactly the same rules. The aim is always to formulate a visual proposition which is derived from the experiential process in which each player is involved.
